Installing Water Line (7 of 9)
The next step is the installation of the water system. This system includes the water line, pump, and tank. Our water lines are installed by digging a 4’-6’ deep trench from the well casing to the entry point in the house. The entry-point is predetermined by pressure tank location which usually resides within the utility room of a house. The water line pipe and electrical wire for the pump are laid and connected to the well by a special fitting known as a pitless adapter. About 5’ of plastic casing is removed from the top and replaced by a welded on steel riser pipe. This gives the well part that protrudes from the ground more stability. We also seal the top of the well with a vermin-proof well cap. This keeps everything from insects to rodents from entering into your well.
