    Drilling (5 of 9)
Our special tri-cone drilling bit drills into and grinds up the ground formations in much the same way a hand drill goes through wood. The drilling mud we use is forced down into the well during drilling which forces the ground cutting to the surface. This allows us to look at the formations so that we can find a water bearing formation. Oftentimes, the presence of sand, gravel or a combination of the two alert us of a good water formation. Once a good formation is found we move to the next phase of drilling.
